What is a Pre-Order?
A pre-order is the advance purchase of an item that is not yet available. Pre-ordering ensures you receive the item as soon as it is available. We generally offer a generous discount on pre-order items. Prices revert to regular retail prices when the items arrive. Payment is due at the time the order is placed.
We provide an estimate of when the item is expected to arrive, while not the norm but on occasion items may be delayed by the manufacturer/supplier, customs, shipping companies or for other reasons beyond our control. If this happens we will update you with an estimate of the arrival date.
If an item is out of stock when we place the order with our supplier we will contact you and offer you another item or colour, backorder the item or offer you a full refund. Sometimes we are unaware that an item has not been included in the shipment from our supplier until the shipment arrives. If this happens we will offer the same three options – choice of different item, backorder or full refund.
We do our best to ensure pre-ordering runs to schedule.
As well as the pre-order type detailed above we offer ongoing pre-orders on some dies & stamps because there are simply so many of them available that we cannot stock all of them. Customers are often contacting us and asking if we can order in particular dies, so to make it easier we have made them available for pre-order at greatly reduced prices & with free postage (within Australia).
We place orders with our suppliers approximately every 3 to 4 weeks. While we need to meet our suppliers minimum order requirements, we do buy other items from these suppliers so this is not generally an issue and does not cause delays. What it does mean is that we have a 3-4 week delivery cycle so depending on where in this cycle you have placed your order you could receive the item(s) within 2 weeks, 3 weeks or 4 weeks.
We request you do not order a pre-order(s) on the same order as in-stock items as we will hold the entire order until the pre-order(s) arrives. So two separate orders should be placed.
We appreciate your patience and request that you please do not contact us with requests for updates on delivery unless it has been over 4 weeks since you placed the order – this is very unusual though. While not the norm, on occasion items may be delayed by the item being out of stock with the manufacturer/supplier, or for other reasons beyond our control. We will advise you of any delays that we know about and we will offer you a choice of back-ordering the item or receiving a refund or credit.
